posted 10/12/2011 SUMMER ELITE UPDATE - The colonials will again be sponsoring a Colonial Elite team for 5/6th and 7/8th grades. The teams will compete in 3 or 4 tournaments over the summer against other elite level teams. There will
not be a fall tryout for this team. Players will be invited at the conclusion of the spring season allowing for the opportunity to evaluate players as they develop during the season. The team will again be coached by Jeff Bigas and a staff of college students (mostly Morristown Alumni). We recognize that several Junior Colonial players have or will be trying out for other clubs which is certainly an option for you. We also recognize that these clubs look for a financial commitment in the fall if you make the team. Prior to making a financial commitment, we wanted you to be aware of Colonial Elite as an option for your child We feel there are distinct advantages of Colonial Elite. First off, if you make the squad for BBL, Patriot, Thunder, Tri-State, etc. you will make our team. We run our program at cost as opposed to for profit. The cost will be at least one half to one third the price of alternative programs. Last year's cost was $590. Outstanding coaching, every kid that makes the team plays and improves. Our kids will also have the opportunity for an additional elite all star experience. The Steps Futures All Stars are the best players from the best Morris County Futures programs and is possibly the best elite team in the state. This is a new opportunity for our best players. If a player or parent has additional questions, please reach out to your Junior Colonial Coach or contact Jeff Bigas directly.
